We almost sat this one out.
For weeks, WordCamp Sylhet 2026 wasn’t on our calendar. The team was heads down on product releases, and sponsoring another WordCamp felt like one commitment too many for the quarter.
Then our CEO, Md Abu Hayat, read through the event’s announcement post one evening, thought about it overnight, and came back the next morning with a decision. “We build plugins for people who use WordPress every day,” he told the team. “If there’s a room full of them in Sylhet, we should be in it.”
That settled it. bPlugins is officially a Silver Sponsor of WordCamp Sylhet 2026.
Here’s everything you need to know about the event, and why we decided to show up.
About WordCamp Sylhet 2026

WordCamp Sylhet 2026 takes place on October 2 and 3 at the Central Auditorium of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) in Kumargaon, Sylhet. Contributor Day runs on the 2nd. Conference Day follows on the 3rd.
This is the third time Sylhet has hosted a WordCamp. The first ran in 2023, drawing close to 900 attendees and becoming, at the time, one of the biggest WordCamps in the region. The second followed in 2024, growing the local community even further and marking the first year bPlugins joined as a sponsor.
The 2026 edition has a different flavor. In their official announcement, the organizers said they want to move away from heavy production and excess merchandise and put the focus back on what actually makes a WordCamp worth attending: useful talks, real conversations, and genuine community connections.
Their words were direct: less show, more substance. Practical sessions instead of filler. Room for attendees to actually meet people instead of rushing past sponsor tables.
The organizers also confirmed that Calls for Sponsors and Calls for Speakers opened shortly after the announcement, with more details on the venue, tickets, and full schedule to follow as planning continues. If you’re thinking about attending, keep an eye on the official site for updates as October gets closer.

bPlugins Is a Silver Sponsor at WordCamp Sylhet 2026

We first sponsored WordCamp Sylhet in 2024 as an SME sponsor. That year gave us hallway conversations we still remember, developers who stopped by just to mention that our HTML5 Video Player saved them a headache, and students asking how to break into WordPress plugin development. Those conversations are a big part of why we’re back.
This time, we’re stepping up as a Silver Sponsor. That means our team will have a dedicated presence at the venue throughout Conference Day. You’ll be able to find our booth, meet the people who actually build our products, and talk through anything from a feature request to how one of our plugins might fit into your next project.
We’re a WordPress plugin and Shopify app company based in Bangladesh. Every product we build starts the same way: someone runs into a problem, and we go build the solution. WordCamps are where we hear about those problems firsthand, which makes events like this one directly useful to how we work, not just a marketing exercise.

What to Expect from WordCamp Sylhet 2026
A few things stand out about this year’s event, and they’re worth knowing before you book your ticket.
A simpler, community-first format. Instead of layering on production and swag, the organizers are trimming things down to what matters: sessions that teach you something you can use, and conversations that go somewhere.
Two distinct days with different goals. October 2 is Contributor Day, where developers, designers, translators, and other community members work directly on WordPress itself, whether that’s core code, documentation, translations, or support. October 3 is Conference Day, packed with talks, panels, and networking.
A venue that’s hosted this before. SUST has been home to both previous editions of WordCamp Sylhet. The Central Auditorium sits inside a 320-acre campus known for its hills and greenery, which gives the whole event a relaxed, unhurried feel that fits the organizers’ direction for this year.
More room to actually talk to people. The organizers were specific about wanting attendees to connect properly with sponsors and community members, not just walk past a row of banners on their way to the next session. That’s the kind of environment where our team does its best work. Most of the improvements we’ve made to our products over the years came out of casual conversations, not formal feedback forms.
Exploring Sylhet Beyond the Event
If you’re traveling in for WordCamp Sylhet 2026, build in some extra time to see the city itself. Sylhet sits in northeastern Bangladesh, wrapped in tea gardens, low hills, and wetlands locally known as haors.
The Surma River runs straight through the city, and the surrounding landscape is one of the reasons Sylhet is one of the most visited regions in the country.
Tea estates ring the outskirts of the city, and a short trip out lets you see rows of tea bushes stretching across the hills, something you won’t find in most other parts of Bangladesh. The region is also known for its warm hospitality, a detail past WordCamp Sylhet attendees mention again and again.
Locals are used to WordPress folks showing up every October now, and that familiarity makes the trip easier for first-time visitors trying to figure out where to eat or how to get around.
Whether you carve out an afternoon between sessions or stay an extra day after Conference Day wraps, Sylhet rewards the detour.

Meet Our Team and Our Products

We’re bringing developers, designers, marketers, and support specialists to WordCamp Sylhet 2026. These are the people who build and support our products every day, not a sales team reciting a script. They’ll be at the booth ready to walk through a feature live, troubleshoot something on the spot, or just talk WordPress.
Why We Keep Building More Products
Here’s something we’re genuinely proud of: bPlugins now has 101 plugins listed on WordPress.org, making us one of the highest community contributors in the WordPress plugin space.
That number was never a target. It’s what happens when you actually listen to your users instead of just collecting their feedback and moving on. Someone needed a way to show 3D products without slowing down their site, so we built a 3D Viewer for it.
Someone else wanted video on their pages without YouTube’s branding and ads getting in the way, so we built our own player. Repeat that process 101 times over several years, and you end up with a library this size, almost by accident.
We didn’t set out to build the biggest plugin catalog in WordPress. We set out to fix problems for the people who told us about them. The number is just what that looks like after enough time.
Our WordPress Product Lineup
3D Viewer lets you display interactive 3D models directly on your WordPress site. It supports GLB, GLTF, STL, and OBJ formats, with full 360-degree rotation and zoom built in. Online stores use it to let shoppers examine a product from every angle before buying. Design portfolios use it to show off work in a way flat images can’t match. Educational sites use it to let students explore models up close.
HTML5 Video Player gives you complete control over how video shows up on your site, without routing everything through YouTube or Vimeo. You can build full video galleries, add playlist support, and let visitors switch quality or playback speed on their own.
PDF Poster embeds PDF documents directly into your pages instead of forcing visitors to download a file and open it separately. It works well for catalogs, brochures, reports, and anything else you’d normally hand someone as a PDF.
HTML5 Audio Player is built for anyone who needs more than a basic embedded audio file. It supports playlists, waveform visualization, and full style customization, so the player actually matches the rest of your site.
Document Embedder handles Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and other common file formats, embedding them right into your WordPress pages instead of linking out to a download.
B Blocks is our Gutenberg block library, built to extend what you can actually do with the WordPress block editor without needing a page builder plugin on top of it.
Advanced Post Block displays your blog posts or any custom post type in customizable layouts, with filtering and sorting options that go beyond what WordPress offers out of the box.
Advance Custom HTML lets you drop custom HTML, CSS, or JavaScript into specific pages or posts, giving you the flexibility to do things WordPress doesn’t natively support.
Voice Feedback replaces typed feedback forms with voice recordings, which tends to get you more honest, more detailed responses from users who’d rather talk than type.
We Build for Shopify Too
WordPress isn’t the only platform we support. We’ve brought the same problem-first approach to Shopify with three dedicated apps.
Easy 3D Viewer exists because product photos only show one angle, and that leaves shoppers guessing about what they’re actually buying. You upload a .glb file, add the viewer to your store with drag-and-drop theme blocks, and let customers rotate, zoom, and inspect products from every side. You can set custom lighting, background, and camera angles for each model, previewing everything live before it goes public.
Video Player by bPlugins embeds YouTube, Vimeo, Shopify-hosted, or external videos on product pages and landing pages to keep visitors engaged longer. The Product Video app block auto-displays videos where they matter most, built-in analytics show you what’s actually getting watched, and password locks and watermarks protect your content from being lifted.
Audio Player by bPlugins adds sound to your Shopify store, with direct SoundCloud and Spotify integration. You can create single, playlist, sticky, or button-style players, match them to your store’s branding, and manage all of it from one dashboard.
Whether you run a WordPress site or a Shopify store, the approach stays the same. When our users hit a wall, we build the door.

WordCamp Sylhet 2026 is shaping up to be a smaller, more focused, more genuinely useful event than the editions before it, and we want to be part of that shift.
